Welcoming Abebe Adane—New PhD Student in the Willcox Lab
We are delighted to welcome Abebe Adane to the Mark Willcox Research Group as a doctoral researcher.
Abebe joins the group with a strong interest in antimicrobial resistance research, particularly the genetic mechanisms that drive resistance in clinically important pathogens. His work will focus on the role of single nucleotide polymorphisms in Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a major multidrug-resistant pathogen associated with ocular infections, biofilm-related disease, and broader challenges in antimicrobial stewardship.
We warmly welcome Abebe to the laboratory and look forward to his contributions as he develops his research projects, builds collaborative networks, and advances impactful science.
