Willcox Lab at ASM 2026: Melbourne and Washington, D.C.

June 2026 was a big month for microbiology in the Willcox Lab. Colleagues from the School of Optometry and Vision Science (SOVS), UNSW Sydney represented the group at two flagship ASM meetings on opposite sides of the Pacific: ASM Microbe 2026 in Washington, D.C. and the ASM National Meeting 2026 in Melbourne.

Teshome Belachew Eshete and Kuma Urgeya Diriba presented posters on membrane-active peptides and phage–antibiotic combinations. Abiye Tigabu, Jiawei Shen, and Meseret also joined the SOVS delegation.
